It ran perfectly. I had heard it was a bit laggy the first night.

Saints row of Battle Royale seems spot on to me.

Just to let people know in the lobby there is always lag there due to the map being generated and players connecting.

BR mode is kinda fun, havent played the normal game and was wondering WTF a lad was doing building **** in the middle of the map.

According to Epic Games, no, the only PvP stuff for sale will be cosmetic.

Had a few games of BR with a few friends last night,enjoyed it. When theres a few of us on probably jump onto it for a game or two.

Devs say a million people (total not consecutive) played it on day one.

Probably way above their expectations, which explains the lag.

Been playing it before it got released for free, and it's been perfect every time i've played it.

Solo is fun in Fortnite BR, but the maps are really too small and there is not enough loot in the smaller buildings to sustain a 4 man team.

In squad games, everyone just piles into the bigger towns for this reason, and it's more of FPS in that case than a BR game.

There is a similar issue in PUBG but there at least you can loot multiple small settlements to gear up your team.
In Fortnite you loot one farmhouse and the next thing you walk to is the centre of the map!

In PVE the maps are all procedurally different, and i'd love for that to be brought into PVP

That stuff can only be used in PVE, where you are are playing with up to 3 others against the environment, all of whom have the same gear etc.

Right now, founders who bought into the PVE part of the game get a special glider and a mary poppins parachute after winning their first game, but there are no other benefits.

Really enjoying this game at the moment, haven't played many BR type games but there is a real thrill to this when you are trying to hold out against 99 others. It's the perfect gap filler for PS4 at least considering we won't see PUBG anytime soon, highly recommend checking it out.

am struggling with the weapons in this game.
the melee combat is way underpowered.
the handguns arnt great
the sniper rifles are way overpowered.

i see mostly auto sniper rifle from a distance seem to work best but can be a bit unfair

Played a couple of hours tonight and had great fun. I’m looking forward to seeing what the game is like with a bit of polish.

As for the weapons; I found the 3-shot semi-auto rifle good, as is the assault rifle. A headshot with a grey semi-auto resulted in an instakill.
Pick axe melee is useless.
I didn’t have the sniper rifle for long and I noticed the bullet drop was fairly extreme.
Took a couple of shots with a grenade launcher, but the range was poor; grenades bounced and only one in my five shots hit, taking off a 100% shield.

Played this for a couple of hours last night with 3 other buddies. A bit of fun, we came 3rd in one round. Still have to get used to the building aspect, but did die a bit running around trying to get a weapon(early on). I enjoyed it, Will def try it again....until the new warframe update drops anyway....

Ok, so on the recommendation of someone at work, I downloaded this while at work and threw it on when I got home.

First off, I didn't realise this was an Alpha. So I should never have downloaded it, I don't believe in them. But, whatever, it's downloaded, I'll give it a go.

Something about creating an account, skipped all that, 100 player PVE, no editing options, grand.

Saw the lobby beforehand, most people with an axe, some people with guns. Grand I thought, testing area, we'll all start with an axe.

Jumped off the bus, saw most people heading 1 direction, I headed a different one, landed on a house/farmish kind of area. Smashed a car to get something. Heard footsteps (keep in mind this is about 30 seconds in), rounded a corner and killed with a shotgun. Turned off game, uninstalled.

Great idea, terrible first impression. May download it again when it's a proper release, but for now, screw this game.

You have to look for loot when you land, they're random but will most likely be in buildings and the like. Stuff tends to spawn in the same place but won't always be the same stuff.

You didn't give it long enough to be honest. Don't follow the crowds when jumping, first on the ground are the first to get guns and you are finished straight away if all you have is the pickaxe. Pick somewhere remote, time your jump and head down as fast as you can (if you see people at your landing spot veer away from it).

If you hear footsteps anywhere and are unarmed,hide behind something and stay completely still - no movement means no noise so even with the pickaxe you can get the jump on an armed opponent if you play it carefully.

I did give it a chance, but being killed in the first minute on my first try of the game doesn't leave me with a good impression. I'll be honest, I don't think these games are for me. I did head away from the crowd, pointed towards where i wanted to land and the glider opened automatically when I was close. Got to the ground as quick as possible, hopped off a car for a few seconds to get building materials and then got shot.

I'll probably give it a go when it's a full release again, but for now, it's not for me. I can see why people will like it, but at the moment, I'll give it a miss.

My own fault, I didn't research this game before playing it. Had I known it was an Alpha, I would never have tried it!
