    That irritating LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY ME ad came up in conversation at work. Funny thing, everyone agreed that the ad is intensely irritating, and no-one could even remember what the ad is for!

    Kudos to that marketing team, the joy of not being sold anything.

    A BETTER NAME for this thread would be 'Ads one likes'. Most ads are stupid, annoying or pointless. Moreover, most people do not even remember or care what the product they promote even is. The worst ads are those bank, insurance and beer/cider ones (especially the Orchard Thieves series of ads) but most of them are bad. Very few good ads these days.

    The Quote Devil ads are the pits.

    They're like a web animation from the late 90s. Doesn't inspire confidence in a company when their adverts are so cheap.

    At least the other folks spent more than a tenner on advertising, even if the ads are crap.

    I mentioned it earlier, it's dreadful, particularly in Ireland where you can't get an agreed value policy. Well ordinary Joe soap can't

    Strange one here;

    You'll know this ad, right - starts out with 'Good Girl Phoebe' to the cat, right?

    But it doesn't know - if you watch the ad that's playing now on TV, it is identical except that he doesn't start out with 'Good Girl Phoebe'.

    Did they fall out with Phoebe or something?

    Is it a cost v time thing. Cost per second verses the time they actually have in the slot. Some ads come out with a long version and then follow up with a (thankfully) shorter version then they have to fi the ads in so perhaps some are designed to run with different lengths to they can fit them in the time slot without messing up the scheduling?

    Those stupid Hyundai ads. If it’s not bad enough they’re slow AF diesels cars. Hyundai and Kia really are cars for people stuck in boring public service jobs and who take medication for erectile dysfunction.

    I just happened by that ad the other day, fairly sure he just said good girl, Phoebe has been removed from the ad :confused: doesn't shorten the ad.

    I mentioned that ad up thread, I don't get it - granted I haven't watched it properly.
    People gazing blankly and someone smashing up a kitchen. :confused:

    I see the RSA Portarlington ad is back on yet again. Now don't get me wrong; the pain that family must be living through is unimaginable. They have my utmost sympathy. But that ad must be at least 4 or 5 years old now. There must be a danger of compassion fatigue with a percentage of viewers. I don't "despise" the ad (far from it), but perhaps it's time for the RSA to invest in a few new ads.
