Rovers, Dundalk, Bohs at 10/3 with pp will do for me.

Edit, no joy, Bohs red put paid to it.

Shamrock Rovers half loss last week and by all accounts 1-0 was very modest for them so unlucky. This week just one bet on the Friday, in the North West Derby
Derry go into this in a bad run of form and will be looking to make amends against joint bottom team Finn Harps. Derry a much stronger team on paper and due to the U21 Irish callups this is Derrys last home League came for nearly 6 weeks.
Harps injury list doesn't show signs of clearing up just yet with Harry Ascroft, Gareth Harkin, Mark Timlin, Ciaran Gallagher and Michael Gallagher remain on the injured list and they are now joined by John Kavanagh while Raffaele Cretaro is a doubt for tomorrow night’s game.

    Derry City -1 Asian @ 1.80 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small/Med Stake

    4-0! Easy winner!

Sligo a massive price on against Dundalk.
    +1.75 @ 1.875 not a bad shout.

Good win last week with Derry, on two smalls this weekend. No writes ups unfortunately but the 3 of us all agreed on these.

    Bohemians -1 Asian @ 1.80 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small Stake
    Drogheda Utd -1 Asian @ 1.95 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small Stake

Fancy Limerick tomorrow @ 1.85 and particularly fancy them to win 1-0 @ 8.5.
Not so sure about Drogs. Although in form, they're missing a few players and Wexford will take points off clubs this season.

Wexford were poor enough against us a couple of weeks ago, Drogs really getting going. Can't seem them not winning down there tbh.

I take it the bookies have banned the Limerick squad's accounts? :o

:pac: win some and lose some! Our stats so far this season aren't that great tbh.

    16 winners
    9 losses
    3 half losses
    2 refunds

Those stats might be very good or very bad depending on the average odds of your winning bets.

Those stats might be very good or very bad depending on the average odds of your winning bets.

Most would be around evens, only two Med/Large bets tipped too this season (one win & one half loss). Will try do up proper stats at some stage given we're coming up to the Summer break.

If all the winners were evens lets say that gives a ROI of 18% to level stakes which is excellent.

Professionals look to be in the range of 4% to 7%.

€5 free bet that I might put on Rovers, Cabo, Drogs and Longford @ 3.72

Just calculated it there on our advised stakes (below) and we're coming out at 4.36% ROI.

    Stake Units (€)
    TINY 10
    SMALL 20
    SMALL/MED 30
    MEDIUM 50

All League games moved to Saturday and another tough set of fixtures so we're sticking with quality over quantity. Longfords form has dipped since their very impressive start. After Mondays win at home to Galway, going up against bottom placed Wexford is ideal to get them back to back winning games and potentially back to the top of the League with Shelbourne facing a tough away match to Bray. Wexford although have started scoring have only managed 2 wins and 2 draws in 15 games with a -18 GD. Longford should be beating these and beating them by a couple of goals.

    Longford -1 Euro or -1.5 Asian @ 1.80 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small/Med Stake

Lost. Personally would have been happier if they drew 0-0

Bad week last week with Longford failing to win by more than 2. Posting these two bets early solely as I'm away on holidays early Friday morning so won't have time tomorrow. Me and the two lads have agreed on the below... including Bohs fan Aidan!

Bohs have got the better of Rovers in the last 3 Dublin Derbies but Bohs will be missing up to 7 first team playing including their starting back 4. They've solid enough backups but their defence won't be as good as it has been which Rovers will be able to exploit.

Longford come into this game coming back into form and still just 1 point off top spot after their last grasp winner last week. Having seen Bray last week against Shels I can see why they're 9 points a drift from top spot. Offered very little and when their top goalscorer McGlade came on he was just manmarked and unable to work - Longford will probably take the same approach and we can't see them losing here.

    Shamrock Rovers Win @ 2.00 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small Stake

Longford Draw No Bet @ 1.75 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small Stake

Both lost.... Longford conceded in the last kick of the game to ruin that and well Rovers got done yet again by Bohs somehow!

    St. Pats -0.75 @ 1.90 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small/Med Stake

    Shelbourne Win or -0.5 @ 1.85 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small/Med Stake

Good week back on Friday with 2 winners and a half win! Some Monday evening Premier games which we've agreed on 2 bets for.
Table toppers Dundalk come into this off a huge 6 pointer win on Friday while Waterford struggled again with a last min losing goal at home to Bohs. Waterford find themselves 3rd from bottom while things aren't looking good with first team striker Akinade leaving during the week, two players still on the injury table and two doubts. Unknown if new signing Sam Bone will be able to play.
Shamrock Rovers come into this Dublin Derby on the back of two League losses which sees them now 8 points behind Dundalk. This is essentially a must win with Dundalk surely winning at home. Pats have won two on the bounce, both 1-0 wins but they were against the bottom placed two teams so nothing to be worried about.

    Dundalk -1 Euro or -1.5 Asian @ 1.90 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small/Med Stake

    Shamrock Rovers Win or -0.5 Asian @ 1.90 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small/Med Stake

    Collect again lads!

    Dundalk 3-0
    Shamrock Rovers 2-0

Wexford are 3.1 away to Athlone Town who have lost their best player and haven't won a game since mid-March.

Athlone could and maybe should have beaten us last week, they looked half decent at times.

With all due respect, they were playing Galway United.

Yes, a team who are above Wexford and have beaten them to nil twice this season. Form lines and all that. But sure who knows, Wexford did draw with Limerick recently. Both teams due a win.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,963 ✭✭✭✭Gavin "shels"

Having seen both Athlone and Wexford play Shels recently, very little between them. Athlone did look like a more attacking team however they've lost Dean Williams who was on loan from Rovers - he's now gone to Bray.

Great return to betting after the summer break with 4 wins and a half win from 5 tips. Tough set of fixtures this weekend so we've gone with 3 smaller bets.
Not much to say on Longford, a must win game for them to keep up the pace on Shelbourne while Limerick have lost another 3 players during the week once of whom started against Shels last Friday so would not be a surprise to see some underage on the bench to make up numbers. Only worry is Brady in goal for Limerick, a very solid keeper who's mistake last week was the only goal let past him last week.
Shamrock Rovers 8 points behind Dundalk, another must win for them. Sligo come into this on the back of a 5-1 win against a depleted UCD team, previous to that 4 poor results given the circumstances of Pats/Cork.
Dundalk - 8 wins in a row in the League and flying but may have a few injuries tomorrow and no clearance yet for the returning Andy Boyle but even with this they've plenty of backup. Aido seen Derry play Bohs on Monday and said they were out on their feet. Dundalk however spent their summer break partly training in Spain so will be 110% again no doubt.

    Longford Win or -0.5 Asian @ 1.80 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small/Med Stake

    Shamrock Rovers -1 Euro or -1.5 Asian @ 1.95 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small Stake

    Dundalk Win or -0.5 Asian @ 1.70 (Bet365/Asia/General) - Small Stake
