Carty's having a stinker. He has the talent to change a game, but the execution isn't there so far.

Also not liking that he seemed to blame the full back for not catching the pass. It was a terrible, loopy throw that gave the catcher little chance of getting to it.

That injury list is staggering for this early in the year

    Mul, it's over
Carty misses touch 20m out then manages to ping one 50m into the corner. If he could ever get his consistency down he'd be unplayable.

That first penalty has shot Carty’s confidence to pieces.

What is with this passing from Connacht today...

Daly playing really well so far. Making yards, linking with Blade and helping win that penalty.

Maksymiw looks like he’s carrying a bit of weight there .. he was already a large man

Connacht responded well after conceding the early try. But they've been mullered up front for the last five minutes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,818 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Decision making letting Connacht down. Daly should have passed to Blade on his outside, and that ball never should've been kicked into Montpellier's 22 by the winger.

Connacht are their own worst enemies here.

Come on! Great play against that big pack to get in there. Seriously strong from Blade

Nice try, awful conversion. Good boost just before half time.

    Halftime score please

Montpellier are muck. Such a shame Connacht down the the bare bones

Making up for it with a great touch finder

I'm sorry but that's a crazy harsh yellow

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

    That’s ridiculously harsh

    Another try connacht. Great response.

    Get in!!

Its an indictment of Montpellier that they didn't further punish Connacht's huge error count this half, but fair play to Connacht for grabbing a hold of things.

Huge finish to the half there!

    Connacht 13-10 Montpellier

Very frustrating performance from Connacht. With a bit more control from 10 and better decision making they'd be miles ahead. Montpellier have a huge pack and nothing else. Poor attacking structure and leaves too much space in the defensive line.

That's some swing in momentum, super timing on those two scores and the (admittedly very harsh) card.

There was nothing harsh about that card.

Impressed with Daly so far but if he put Blade through when he had the chance we'd be laughing.

    Colby very impressive so far.

    Scrum goin steady too.

Hope they punish them with the extra man in the 2nd half.

Even the ref said to the MP captain "you'd want it if it was the other way"

Always find those tackles harsh. It not like a kick where the oppositions has plenty of time to make a decision. Letter of the law it's a yellow but do find them harsh.

Very impressed with daly so far. Carty having a stinker so far, if he can control the second half the game is there for the taking

The way the guy landed (his head completely prone) is exactly why that type of tackle has to be penalised.

I'm glad that Daly seems to be making his mark at Connacht. When he was at Leinster you could see he had talent, but two horrendous injuries meant he spent years not playing. Then he just slid down the pecking order.
