You didn't miss much. Nice to see the snow falling this morning but it is of poor quality on the ground.

    Hailstones at Grange now.

Near Dugarvan its snowing like mad but after over 12 hours of rain it stands no chance of laying on soaking wet ground, our biggest problem is we might flood as the nearby river is near to bursting its banks.

The thaw, but aren't we at the stage now where the wind is turning? The north wind will take over the whole country? I thought today was the day for the heavy snow, I can't keep up .

The thaw before the freeze tonight, tomorrow morning will be a mess!

Hail in greater Dublin area now

    Is snow expected later?

South and south east are in play later on, there's an update from MT there somewhere.

Pretty jealous of the snow pics! Light flurries of snow here in mid Clare but nothing settling on the ground.

YR.no going for a frost here tonight, but -8.0c seems a bit of a stretch?

We had about 6cm here locally on our hill in south cavan. Down the road about half that amount fell.
I can see the Cuilcagh mountains from here, there doesent seem to anymore there than before last night.
Pic shows them in the background.

Ah I've given up, 2.2c and no real precip. Some forecasts suggesting snow at 6pm this evening but that doesn't make sense as there'll be clear skies by then!

Started snowing in Tipperary 7.30 am just stopped. I spent the Las three hours out and about taking snaps for my snow album which was empty up to now. Thaw started about a half an hour ago. Still very grey a d it has started to rain lightly. If we get a frost tonight tomorrow morning will be a disaster for commuters affected by this current snow fest. I must commend Jerry Murphy he mentioned Tipperary in his forecast and he was right on the button. Jerry is my best friend now.

Any idea if there’s snow around Virginia/Oldcastle area?

Stopped snowing in last half an hour in this part of North Tipp. Just love the clarity of landscapes after the snow. Landscape photographers love this weather just as much as weather followers/forecasters!
