Those are all senior. I did include Junior in the search on GUI but none or only 1 came up so far.

Anything outside of that doesn't count tbf.

Roganstown are running senior, junior and intermediate scratch cups on Monday 7th may.

The gui website usually only list the senior scratch as permission is needed from the gui to run a senior. My understanding is that only 1 senior scratch cup is allowed on any day in any province.

Makes sense to be fair. Although you do regularly see ridiculous clashes. Birr and Headfort are probably a decent distance apart to be ok - although there’s only one winner there for people traveling to play.

There was a silly one where two good courses nearby held theirs on the same day. Something like (not necessarily) Dun Laoghaire and Powerscourt. Can’t remember exactly who.

Anyway, these days, outside of the handful of big events, the Top Golfer stuff is the only game in town. Always well run. Always a good field. I have no affiliation to them what so ever, but they probably don’t get enough credit for reviving the scratch cup calendar.

It does actually. Junior/Intermediate scratch cups are just events of a different standard.

The same way Senior Scratch Cups are mickey mouse events compared to Championships like the Irish or British Amateur. And in turn, those are pub society outings compared to the PGA Tour.

They all count. But if you're going to belittle those of a slightly lower standard than you, it's worth checking yourself with a bit of perspective.

Shame you make no mention of minor scratch Cups anywhere in your post.
You may need to heed your own advice.

Great contributions to the thread. Make sure you derail it as best you can, just in case it might be useful, interesting or anything like that.

It was a tongue in cheek remark. A joke.
If you didn't want it to be derailed why not report my post and let it at that? No you merely suggested I have a look at my own perspectives.
I'm supposed to bow to that crap?
This place is just a glorified WhatsApp group these days. Hang onto it.

Putting others of a slightly higher handicap down cos you’re a big shot senior cup player. Justifiable name calling in fairness.

You can search the GUI website for Open Fixtures.

They're all senior unless otherwise stated.

I got them mostly from the clubs themselves.

The clubs that are in twice have the category next to them, as mentioned above they are senior unless otherwise stated.
