Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Hello and welcome to the signup thread for Werewolf XXIV: Back to the Future.

    First up, the date, poll for the 18th or the 25th of Feb for the soft start, with the first munch the following day.

    Secondly, if players agree, instead of a speed day to round the game out, we’re open to slowing it down for the weekend. Please state your preference, if you have one.

    Third up, Anon or not? Let us know what you think

    The 18th was my preference because ;

    A) it's sooner

    AND

    B) I'm off work from Monday/Thursday that week.

    (Odds on a n0 Necro kill if it's on the 18th now just took a massive hit)

    Oh, and I'm a villager obviously :D

    In it's most basic terms, it's a post based game where there is a bad team (wolves) amongst the players. It is up to the good players (villagers) to try and work out who the bad team is based on how they post.

    There are certain roles within the game to aid the good team:

    Seer: a player that can request (peek) the role/alignment of a player each night.

    Priest: learns roles of all dead players.

    Not getting too much into it, there are other roles as outlined in the link above and pter's document.

    Basically the bad players get to kill (munch) a player each night until they reach parity with the village.

    To counteract this the village votes to kill (lynch) a player each day to wipe out the baddies.
    It's fun, it's frantic, it's a bit of craic.

    There's loads of other roles etc but that is essentially a basic (vanilla) game of Werewolf.

    No preference on anon/non anon.

    Rolling it over the weekend is fine by me, but I don't mind speed days either.

    So, instead of me voting in 1 or 2, i can use those votes to weigh in on the only question i have a care for, so give up voting options in 1) and 2) and get 3 votes in 3) all for ANON ??

    Or it that just mad?

    I accidentally set it to black and that was hard to read, so I set it to white because I couldn't find the default

    I'm used to using mobile and the dark theme on desktop so I didn't realise there was a problem

    Is it hard to see on desktop?

    Or would you prefer holding all 3 and using them as extra lynch votes....:D
