Munster have named their squads that will begin training for interpros in UL this week.

Some schools have been on or currently are away on foreign trips. PBC Cork in Italy, Wesley College in the US and Blackrock are in New Zealand.

Connacht league fixtures have been set and published while Leinster league fixtures have been set but not fully published afaik.

The Michaels rugby youtube has a great highlights video of their JCT season, expect to see a few of them in the Senior Cup this year

mostly from the bench i'd say, apart from the messiah, who I heard might play 15.

    Possible Michaels side:

    1. Chris Hennessy(6th)
    2. Adam Peat(6th)
    3. Fionn Finlay(6th)
    4. Jonathan Fish(5th)
    5. Ryan Baird(6th)
    6. Jody Booth(6th)
    7. Scott Penny(6th)
    8. Dan O'Donovan(6th)
    9. Rob Gilsenan(5th)
    10. David Moran(6th)
    11. Jeff O'Loughlin(6th)
    12. Jay Barron(6th)
    13. David Ryan(6th)
    14. Andrew Smith(5th)
    15. Chris Cosgrave(4th)

Really? He's the clear and obvious choice to play 13, besides I had expected Mark O'Brien to start 15

Just what I had heard.. this time last year Dan O'Donovan was still a back, then after 9 months he was playing number 8 for ireland u18, so plenty of time for it to change.

Also Cosgrave playing more positions than 13 can only be good for his development.

Fair enough, I'd expect a few changes from the team you have there

Jack Boyle at loosehead, think Hennessy will move back to hooker
    Matthew Healy at lock
    Des McCarthy at 9
    Ryan and Cosgrave 12/13
    Mark O'Brien 15

Fair enough, I think he's good enough to start in 4th year and with a bit of work on his technique could more than hold his own at loosehead, has the size for seniors I think

Current Michael's newsletter states they have the most current professionals of any school in Ireland with 17 pros.

Wrong. I can name 20+ from Blackrock. That's the sort of self-absorption that leads to them bombing in the senior cup every year.

    Jeremy Loughman
    Oliver Jager
    Denis Buckley
    Jay Harris Wright
    Dave Heffernan
    Gavin Thornbury
    Nick Timoney
    Jordi Murphy
    Caelan Doris
    Conor Oliver
    Charlie Rock
    Joey Carbery
    Peter Robb
    Garry Ringrose
    Tommy O'Brien
    Gavin Mullin
    Jack Power
    Andrew Conway
    Hugo Keenan

    Missing anyone?

    Ian Madigan
    Charlie Connolly
    Brendan Macken
    Eoin Sheriff
    AJ Macginty

Both Angus Lloyd and Dave O Connor were pros last year and still looking for clubs. Connolly going to Italy.

    How embarrassing for Michael's.

They probably meant playing within Ireland. Quite a few of those rock lads are playing abroad. Not sure you could really count loughman, oliver, carberry, Harris wright either. They spent less years at rock then at their previous school.

True michaels don't shut up about that but when cup season comes around they keep quite when they get knocked out in the 2nd round-Mary's guy

Do you have the list? I know Jordan Wilkes is in it and not on the above. I'm pretty sure all the Tarf/Sutton/Belvo lads are correct.

  • Registered Users Posts: 129 ✭✭Purist98

Sam Dardis at 13 and Chris Cosgrave at 15 in Leinster schools trial game against US 18s, thought that would've been the other way around

Liam Corcoran and Peter o Beirne are not eligible for u19, you're right about Wilkes

    Galvin(wing), o Beirne(scrumhalf) and Corcoran(lock) are in the u20s Squad not u19s.

O'Beirne made 20s squad? Ahead of Patterson, O'Sullivan and Kenny?
