Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Should employers be banned from keeping workers tips?

    In theory they should put tips through the payroll to insure tax is paid.
    Keeping them is asking for staff problems I'd imagine.

    If i leave a tip its for the waiter/waitress

    If the owner wants the tip let him or her run around getting me drinks, serving the food, recommending dishes, make small talk etc.

    What about the guys who prepare and cook the food? Don't they deserve a share of the bonus you're paying for your fine meal?
