Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Lads, yous are going to think I'm crazy but just backed Adebayor to be Tottenham's PL Top Scorer @ 33/1 with BetVictor.

    My reasoning for doing so:

    a) The price
    b) Sherwood is fav to get job on interim basis and he's said he wants to get Adebayor back involved - he's starting him in League Cup QF tonight
    c) Soldado (1/4 to be their top scorer) has been woeful with only 4 goals (3 pens) and doesn't look like he's suited to physicality of PL.
    d) Defoe (10/1) is rumored to be joining Toronto.
    e) Although a mercenary of the highest order, Adebayor is exactly the type of player who can go on a scoring run when he's mollycoddled and has something to prove.

    Bet's as likely to be a loser by January as it is a runner, but with Soldado looking average, Adebayor looks worth a speculative punt in what should be a three, maybe two, horse race.

    I don't think it's crazy, I think it's inspired.

    Villas Boas was under pressure to play him (from the owner seemingly) and soldado only has 4 goals.

    He's a big child but could easily be clear on goals by the end of January. How in gods name did you get 33/1 in a 2-3 horse race ?

    Can't find a price on it myself.

    Go to oddschecker and Next Spurs Manager market and it's one of the tabs above. Tried to put another 10r on him there and after a bit of hassle with them, I got it on. He's got a good chance of playing at weekend now and 33/1 is still on offer! :)
