No lightning at all in Argentina showing on Blitzortung! http://en.blitzortung.org/live_lightning_maps.php

At least the cricket is on Sky 404. No rain in Taunton!

Exciting finish, but Christophe Ridley's pernickety reffing always irritates me.

The Scots went down to Italy (on an awfully muddy pitch) so could be the team to drop out of next years' tournament.

More than a hundred years spent meticulously building up an aura etc.

Then the Celtic hordes just rip on thru on a pillaging rampage.

Only needs Italy to nick a win and the destruction will be complete.

Decent enough start. Some of the fringe players really going well. England competing strongly at every breakdown but Ireland coping.

And as I praise us, Healy sticks a bomb out on the full.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,176 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Healy kicking superbly since that error. I imagine there will be 30-40 kicks from both sides given the conditions. This could play right into Ireland's hands.

    England are really very poor

One of the most impressive u20's squads ever. They just continue to impress. Would have loved to see Scott Penny in this tournament.

  • Registered Users Posts: 139 ✭✭DonVito

That's a red going off previous decision this tournament but delighted it's only a yellow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,176 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Ireland getting the rub of luck from officials with that being picked up and England getting a card but Watters got nothing for clearly hitting the English outhalf late on a clearing kick.

  • Subscribers Posts: 40,977 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

England's discipline is atrocious... Plenty of kick off sides not getting picked up either

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,176 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Terrible return for absolutely dominating possession with 70% against a side who had two yellow cards.

The drop in quality really showed there in the last few minutes. Some poor errors whilst England executed very well in terrible conditions.

On another note, can clearly hear the TMO calling for offside there repeatedly and the referee not hearing him at all.

And James Downey wanted a red for that prop on prop tackle. :-(

But TMO's aren't allowed to call offsides?

Are you sure it wasn't some of the spectators?

Anyone have a working stream? Mine just died :(

Almost certain. The TMO is on a very static heavy feed and it was an identical voice/feed that was calling offside.

Going nowhere with ball in hand unfortunately, England are right in our faces in defence. But they're also just booting the ball back to us when we execute our exits.

It's impossible to, in fairness. Running on that surface is like running in quicksand. We look tired and jaded at this point. It can't be unexpected given the injuries and how the tournament went.

I could see England putting up a significant gap now.

EDIT: And there's the 7 pointer. Too easy; England blow through a double tackle to go over.

That could well be red for DTM.

    England’s lineout is laughably bad

Of course it’s going to be bad on a day of pissing down rain and a ripped up pitch, not made any easier by Ireland having 3 second rows on the pitch

I was only thinking a few minutes ago that Deeny could do with putting on a few kg. Thank f*ck he is as wiry as he is. No way he'd have made it if he had another 5kg on him.
