Because of course they are all rapists.

    Every single one.
Yes, I suppose it dosn't quite fit in with the all Syrians are scum, or rapists if you will, narative alright.
However, no matter how many stats you post, lads, it doesn't justify torching innocent people's buildings.

I believe that comments like these is what the President of Finland was talking about when he said: "We need an open and factual discussion and decisions that are weighted thoroughly."

Nobody on here said the burning of the building was justified.
Nobody on here said that all Syrians are scum.
And nobody on here said that all Syrians are rapists.

Posters who make these comments cannot be taken seriously about anything else they say on the topic. They are being disingenuous and using a weak debating deflection mechanism.

I am watching the six o clock news on the +1 channell and a woman saying that DP system must end and the people be allowed to live and work and be part of the community.......... But also they shouldnt be sent to Roscommon.

Also admits she doesn't have all the answers.

    Cool, cool...........

That was just bizarre,a representative of Roscommon against Racism, well she destroyed that for sure. She said several times the governement need to deal with AS in a humane way. She was asked where do you think they should be relocated to ?
    Answer " I don`t have the answers "
Whatever the rights or wrongs of the issue, you simply can`t empty 80 AS into Rooskey, a village of 300, petrol station closed, hotel closed, garda station closed, bacon factory closed,1 shop, 1 church, couple of pubs open sometimes. There is simply no facilities for them. What would they do all day and night

You can all talk away, the reality is, there will NEVER be either a Traveller settlement or an Asylum seeker place in so called high end areas of Dublin. EVER.

Oh sorry there was a Traveller place in SCD. We all know how that ended up with due respect to those who passed away.

Didn't hear too much about the residents close by who chose to STOP a temporary halting site beside their houses after that tragedy though. That would be because they are not in lower end areas. Correct?

If u ever move out of mammy n daddys n end up having a nipper or two, would you encourage your daughter to travel around the middle east n north africa?
Or would it just be racist to have any concerns?

Im long out of mammy n daddys n am just stayin wit em for a bit.

I think that's what you meant anyways.

Why would I encourage my daughter to go traveling in the middle east or North Africa?

Not really, I'd be worried if my daughter went travelling anywhere by her own really.

That doesn't say all Syrians are rapists does it ? Who's to say they're even Syrians anyway.

We should take care of our own first, that means the disabled are first to the government subsidized rides, like in the netherlands

Parents live in a relatively nice location, direct provision center has been there just under twenty years at this stage. Those living there have never caused any trouble and get on pretty well with the locals. You guys would likely think the area is a no go zone of some kind...

You want the government to supply them with prostitutes???

I see we have the usual pro-open-borders supporters on here making fun of the issues that other countries have with asylum seeker integration and their adjustment to western norms e.g. respect for women etc.

They seem to think sexual violence is hilarious.

Your whole posting history is blatantly racist fearmongering sh/te.

You've no response so you just call him racist. ****ing pathetic.

Some asylum seekers think any woman who isn’t covered head to toe is a prostitute.

Call it what it you want. You haven't a leg a stand on now that the problems with migrant sexual violence in Germany, Sweden, England, Finland and elsewhere are now so well known.

Most people here see you for the eejit you are.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,865 ✭✭✭✭Spanish Eyes

Is it really true that no one wants Asylum seekers just the same as they do not want Travellers on their doorsteps?

Why would that be now I wonder?

(Places in high end areas of Dublin and elsewhere of course, are immune).

Has it been established that the reason for the attack is anything to do with the plan to place asylum seekers there? Could there be a purely local motive, maybe to do with the ownership of the place?

Why does it bother you when people get angry about sexual violence?

People are going bat shyt crazy over a few families moving to ireland from a war zone. Thats what has me laughing kiddo.

    @Tretorn,

There will never be a Traveller site nor an asylum seeker venue in high end areas. Sorry. That is the reality, and it has to be challenged.

There was an asylum seekers centre in killiney in the past.
Also, there are traveller halting sites in, blackrock, dun laoghaire, cabinteely, foxrock, rathmichael, Shankill, just to name a few in south county Dublin.

I don't believe a local did it at all, by local I mean ordinary John or Mary from Rooskey itself. Arson is just not something your average person would do ever. I'd say it's more likely some sort of roving vigilante type group that are keeping their eye on where AS/migrants are being put in many locations around Ireland.

You find it so hard to believe that locals in a really rural village of 300ppl are against 80 migrants (plus all the kids they'll have) been located in the village, yet you've no problem believing some "roving vigilante group" traveling around the country burning out places they are due to stay, yet only picked this one?

It doesn't bother me in the slightest, it's when they constantly post bullshyte that i reply.

Muslims coming to Ireland, were all doomed! DOOOOOOOOOOOMED i tells ya!

It has been earmarked for direct provision but is currently empty.

Arson is disgraceful behaviour. I can however feel the frustration of locals. It's absolute madness to locate something like that in this location. Such a small town. What will these people do in a place like this? It's a disaster waiting to happen. These direct provision centres need to be located in larger population centres to give them a better chance to integrate into the community and better understand our culture.

    Please stop with this nonsense.

If asylum seekers are Muslim they won’t integrate here. How as a woman can you integrate with Irish people if you can’t be in male company without a chaperone. How can you integrate with other women if you are covered head to toe with just your eyes visible.

Muslims have lived in great numbers in France and the UK for decades, these two countries have suffered the most from terrorism, France in particular is destroyed and Germany will be the same in two decades.

Yeah. I don't think Rooskey is a good fit for those 80 AS and I'm sure the people there wouldn't be very pleased about it based on very valid concerns but yeah I don't think most ordinary people would commit arson. Is that so hard to believe.
