I do love the film though.

It's good v evil with an amazing chase.
Throw in the love he has for his family, the conquering of his fears and some light-heartedness with his buffoon friend.
It's a lot more than just violence and bloodshed.
    It's a great film imo.

    Untouchable 2011.

A French movie about a very wealthy man paralysed from the waist down hires a young guy from the ghettos to be his carer and they form a very special friendship.

Lovely little movie and would help to cheer you up.

Kevin Hart is involved in a remake that's on in the cinema at the moment. I cant imagine it will do the original any justice.

Wild Tales, a wickedly funny argentine black comedy and imo, one of the best anthology films ever made.

The Big Sick, one of my favorite comedies and films of 2017. It’s a genuine, feel good, heart on it’s sleeve film.

Hope things pick up and you feel better.

A lot of great suggestions, guys. Interesting to just see what others put on when they're feeling a bit crap.

Re-watching old favourites is something I'm a bit wary about actually, especially if it's something i haven't watched in years. There's a lot of films I watched to death when I was younger and watching them again can bring back a lot of memories. Kinda like old songs, I guess.

I also think there's value in some of the darker films suggested. Seeing a character go through something terrible and come out the other side (a la Shawshank etc) can be very cathartic.

What a gem of a movie! Great for making you feel good about people if life is making you feel a bit misanthropic.

Dumb and Dumber has to get a mention, surely. And another for the nostalgia factor, The Blues Brothers...had it on a loop on VHS, the tunes, the car.
