Looks like another kick in birdie at 8, he's been excellent so far!

Thats correct regarding a win gets him into Kiawah Island next week. A win will be huge for Seamus and more importantly gives him job security for the next 2 years with that 2 yr exemption. Keep it lit Seamus!

Ah sure even if it doesn't happen it'll be all positives for the weekend

2nd on his own I’d even say he’d bit your hand off

The lads in the sky studio have barely made any mention of him, which is somewhat bizarre.

That's coz he's not a journeyman brit, sky coverage is best watched with the sound turned off

Nobilo just said Seamus "can hit the ball 300 yards both right and left handed"

    Seriously impressive if true!

His drive at the par 5 ninth went all of 245 yds ! ?
His bunker play and scrambling though is top class.

9 is straight into the wind I think

Second on his own would get him his card for next year.

Par is a good score on 9

This is actually great viewing or following shot tracker in my case. Living every moment with the lad.

Follow him since he hammered us in a junior foursomes final when we were 15 or something. He was already seen as a huge talent then. His hands were ruined from practicing already

Will move him into the Top 125 alright but wouldn't guarantee his card just yet.

Ouch a double bogey for Seamus at the 13th. 4 back now and just inside the top 5.

That’s a pity, only his second hole to drop a shot in 4 rounds.

2 pars at the 2 par 5s just gone might feel like shots dropped. Fingers crossed he picks up a shot or two on the way in and secured a solid top 5

    Fudge.

The wheels are coming off now. Too often this happens Seamus, he has a bad hole and unfortunately tends to follow up with more bad ones. Took him 4 to get down from 50 yards there on a 305 yard par 4. He’s bleeding money now, he still has time to get those 3 shots back but he’s got to steady himself quickly.

He looked so solid aswell, a real shame

It’s a big shame. Could cost him is tour card and worse.

Serious pressure on him to be fair and he's shown throughout his career that his mind is the weakest part of his game. So not unexpected. Hopefully he can right the ship here and still get a top 5. Deserves at least that.

Nobody deserves anything. You could say that for a lot of the players but that’s makes the difference between journeymen and next level up. Nothing next week probably doesn’t help as a lot of pros are streaky and they need to strike while the iron is hot

Maybe it's the feed of takeout pints in me but everyone deserves a little understanding at least. I reckon Seamus would settle for journeyman status currently, he's lower than that at the minute. Some rain out there now, not the weather you want trying to recover from 3 quick dropped shots.

Birdie at the last would be a nice way to finish, get him into the Top 10 in prizemoney terms

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,806 ✭✭✭Mysterypunter

The conditions are very poor, but they are trying to finish the tournament because the rain is not going away. Bit of a disappointing end for Seamus, but he had a good week overall

Dissapointing few holes but that weather was brutal.

He has an 11 foot birdie on 18 when they get back out there. Hole that and top ten guaranteed! Just nine players left on the course! Spieth is 80 yards from hole on -18 after 2 and a birdie for him could knock Seamus out of top ten. Nobody else can influence the top ten right now. Unless, of course, Schwartzel or Burns drop shots.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,538 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

It'd be fairly devastating to finish outside the top 10 considering the position he was in after 12 holes. Hope he knocks it in on 18

It’ll still be in the range of $200-250k, so plenty of positives.
