Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Rushing through a Paddy Power shop today and heard over the audio commentary, they were doing a Double the SP of a winner at Newmarket.
    Assume it's not the 4/1 to 8/1 special they sometimes do as it said it would be on a single race as opposed to the 4/1 offer which is all races at a meeting.
    Can't find anything online about it, anybody know any further details about it?

    they're doing a double price special on one race at a certain meeting everyday providing you take the SP. Won't be announced which race it is on until the race has started. Example it was the Navan 2:35 yesterday

    They must save a fortune on that tbf. People writing sp instead of taking the early price across the board.

    Yep.
    Would imagine most people would back a horse at EP nowadays especially with Guaranteed Prices, you be mad not to.

    Boyles enhance horses backed at SP only so they also save a fortune with Guaranteed Price's not been applied as it's SP only.

    Do Paddy powers not pay at better odds if you take a price and horse wins ? is it singles only or would it apply to Doubles
    double Saturday first horse won 3/1 price taken and 2nd horse won price taken 11/2 but it won at 12 /1 i only got paid out on prices i had taken 3/1 & 11/2 ?/

    You should get the bigger price if it was a guaranteed price race

    I dont think you get BOG as part of a double / treb etc

    It's possible that PP have rolled back on best odds guaranteed for multiples, although it still applies to singles. Some bookmakers only guarantee best odds for multiples if the bets are struck between a certain time, eg. with Ladbrokes it's between 11am and 1pm daily. You should question it though.

    Paddy Powers guaranteed prices only apples to singles in shops. It applies to multiple bets as well as single in online or phone bets with PP.

    There is one PP SHOP in limerick guaranteeing multiples between 12 and 2 oc and there may be others around the country.
