It seems as though Origin has been adding your EA games that you have bought on Steam to your account without your knowing! Dont worry, it doesn't seem to be that sinister, i hope.

    http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/27/origin-auto-adds-ea-games-bought-through-steam-no-its-not-c/

It hasn't personally done it to me as all my EA games are boxed copies which I added to Origin myself but it appears to be happening with games that you need to sign in with your EA id to play, like Mass Effect 2 and Dead Space 2.
Dont think I own too many EA games on Steam tbh.

Going from bad to worse with Game.
Not stocking Mass Effect 3 and it looks like they aren't able to get their hands on Nintendo games either.

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-02-29-revealed-games-memo-to-staff-on-mass-effect-3-cancellation
Eurogamer has been sent the internal memo emailed to GAME and Gamestation staff this morning which broke the news that the company will not be stocking Mass Effect 3 at any of its stores.
The first half of the email is for store managers explaining the situation, while the latter includes a list of instructions for how to break the news to pre-order customers who have already given GAME their money.
GAME will not stock EA titles as the company is "committed to only stocking products on which we could get the right credit terms", something it has apparently failed to do for Mass Effect 3.
As a "gesture of goodwill", customers will be able to claim £5 worth of Reward Points and a full refund - although previous information provided to Eurogamer suggests this refund will be store credit, not cash.
The memo also states that the company will not take any further deposits or pre-orders for forthcoming EA titles FIFA Street, Tiger Woods 13 and Sims 3 Showtime.
    The full memo lies below.
"Last week we held an event for our publishers in the industry and explained the challenges we are facing in the short term - and we asked for their support.
"We asked them to trade with us using manageable credit terms, and for them to continue to do that whilst we work through the strategic review and refinancing of our business.
"We gave the industry commitments - we committed to integrity and openness in our dealings, and working with everyone equally.
"We committed to only stocking products on which we could get the right credit terms, regardless of the title or the supplier. We will not stock products if the terms are not right for our business - a position we believe is critical to our long term health as a business - we have taken the very difficult decision to not stock EA's March releases, including Mass Effect 3.
"As a specialist retailer dedicated to games and gaming, it is never easy to make a decision not to stock a title, particularly one with such a strong fan base. But it is imperative that we treat every supplier evenly, that we stick to our commitments, and that we don't sign up to payment terms that will hamper us further in the future.
"It is even more critical that we manage this appropriately with our loyal customers. We know that they will be disappointed regarding Mass Effect in particular and in recognition of this, we will be contacting our Mass Effect pre-order customers and as a gesture of goodwill we will be offering them £5 of reward card/ elite points.
"I know that many of your will have to manage customer and supplier feedback directly, and I would like to thank you in advance for your support and am happy to answer any questions you have directly - just grab me as I walk around.
    "- Tom Devine
"For Preorder Customers Keep it simple
"Unfortunately we are not in a position to supply you with your copy of Mass Effect 3. As dedicated gamers, we know how disappointing this will be for you, and we apologise sincerely for the inconvenience that this will cause.
"We'd like to offer you the following gesture of goodwill. We value you as a customer very highly and want to demonstrate that to you by adding £5 worth of Reward points to your balance and, of course, if you have placed a deposit with us, you'll receive a full refund."

Former Fable devs form Another Place Productions
The co-founders of Big Blue Box--the game development studio that created the Fable franchise--have announced the formation of their new studio, called Another Place Productions. The new studio is also bringing on board several other former developers from Lionhead, the studio that combined with Big Blue Box before being acquired by Microsoft.

According to gamesindustry.biz, co-founders Dene and Simon Carter, who both left Lionhead last year, are being joined by Lionhead's technical director Guillaume Portes, Fable art director John McCormack, and executive producer Jeremie Texier.

Though no specific projects have been revealed yet, Another Place Productions says it will focus on digital titles for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, Steam, and mobile devices, aiming to "create high-quality, meaningful experiences that will inspire audiences worldwide."

If I was a betting man, I'd say Lionhead are on their way out.

They've made Fable II & III since, as well as The Movies and the Black & White sequel.

Mafia 3 is great news. The 1st one is one of my fave PC games of all time and I had put off the 2nd one because of the bad reviews but picked it up cheap on ps3 last year and thought it was brilliant. Def looking forward to Mafia 3.

I never played an X-Com game. Should I? I think now I'd be able to appreciate a turn based strategy game these days.

Well it`s not Dreamland Chronicles, but still. Also, it only makes sense that it took a God-like creature like Sid Meier to rescue the Rebelstar Raiders legacy.

News Of The Year for me (hint in the nickname :)

I still do refuse to believe the combat is actually turn-based until I see it running on my comp though (sorry but JA reference is invalid for that reason)

Yeah, you should. You can pick up the original XCom: UFO Defense on Steam for a pittance http://store.steampowered.com/app/7760/. May be a while to overcome the graphics and UI (a time before mouse-scroll *shudders* ) but one of the best strategy games ever made.

Peter Molyneux Is Leaving Lionhead Studios and Microsoft

Strange that he is leaving, must be a shot to the gut of the 3 people that are actually looking forward to Fable: The Journey or that 4 swords rip off Fable Heroes that after the hugely dissapointing Fable III. Don't get what MS are doing Rare are as good as gone, now so are Lionhead more or less & the Gears trilogy has now ended. Hate the idea of Forza Horizon too, its milking one of their few consistantly quality franchises cause most want to copy COD with annual release even if does more harm than good.

Well the difference with Forza Horizon is that it's being made by a totally different dev with a rather different direction to the mainline Forza series. Turn 10 are working on Forza 5 which will probably be released next year. Personally I don't see anything wrong with that, they're just utilising the brand recognition of the Forza name and as long as the main games aren't affected I think it should be alright.

As for Lionhead, well look at it this way. Prior to the MS purchase they created three new IPs, did something either unique in many areas and had varying sucess. Since being bought by MS they've made Fable II, Fable II and are currently working on Fable Heroes and Fable: The Journey. It's not wonder people are jumping ship...

I can see your point with Forza but I doubt Horizon will be that good it'll probably be more NFS The Run rather than Hot Pursuit. I loved Fable II but III was a huge dissapointment for me, now you couldn't pay me to buy Heroes or The Journey.

And this is why I'm waiting till late April to upgrade my graphics card...

670ti is coming as soon as march! And that's going to be for sale, not just paper release. I wonder how will nvidia go with pricing. Currently we got some really nice fast Gpus, but their prices are a bit on high end too.

P.s. nvidia is not very good at sli scaling. I am prety sure the drivers are very raw and 3 cards are not uptised. I would imagine there is very small difference between 2 sli vs 3 sli in that's test.

Really? Last confirmed release date I had seen was April 12th. The GTX670 is the one I have my eye on too since it's the lowest tier GK110-based card being released this quarter.

Totally depends on the engine to be honest. Here's a bunch of benches which compare it with a range of other configs. Performance benefit can range to it being worse than the SLi setup to being 30% better than it.

Dont qoute me on this m8, but I am prety sure I sow march for 670 ti.

I am in tough position myself. I it 350e to spend due to my birthday ( thank you misses shadowhearth!!! ), and me being a flipping geek it will go to pc!

Problem is: I got gtx 570 which is still very very beefy card. There is no point selling it and getting something like 7950 or 7970! So I am considering maybe second 570?

Though I really don't like where the new gpu pricing goes. For mid range they just replace current product with same product with same price. Basically you won't get better performance for same price currently . That's why 6 series went out of stock so quickly. There were no difference perfoamce per price between 6 and 7 series.

Let alone 7970 being 500eu alone. Great card, but still. Now imagine price for gtx 680 so? 700eu... **** that...

Well judging from some of the leaked specs so far the 670 comes in at around 20% more grunt than the 7970. Obviously we'll need to wait for some actual benches to confirm this but it's looking quite positive so far. :)

I read its around 10% which is still Impresive for so called mid to high card, but price will be bigger then 7970 - fact.

What I am saying: it's lovely cards, but you still get same performance for your euro. It's just you need way more euro for 1 card :).
