That wrap around from Henshaw was phenomenal. Took so many Edinburgh defenders out of the game.

Identical to the try he scored against Ulster last season.

    Cian Healy having a stormer

I love watching Leinster with Lowe and Larmour in the back three. So much pace and their running lines and footwork are exceptional.

The Edinburgh shorts sponsorship is class.

I've never heard that before. "held up first" surely Lowe could still work to get the ball down?

Scores the try, shepherd's crook the lad now and let Byrne have a go.

Did Sexton just mouth '****in eejit' at the ref...?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

Sexton seemed pissed off going off there. Anyone able to lip read?

Mick Kearney been impressive since getting on.

Ref reminded him that it’s 90 seconds for the conversion effort. Think he was over by about 20-25 seconds.

Only giving Tomane 10 minutes. That's rich.

That's a yellow if previous incidents are anything to go by.

    Yellow certainly?

    Red?

    Ok

Leavy just got a bad wallop.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,199 ✭✭✭ongarite

    Red, harsh..

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,815 ✭✭✭✭emmet02

Credit to the prop for not even making an issue of it and just making the exit.

Leavy was out of it on the deck, shouldn't be back on.

That is a pretty tame RC.

It's part of the effort to force players to not play dangerously.

One of the 'bigger picture' cards I think.

Deliberate action leading with the elbow, and the head was the first point of contact.

Red does seem harsh as we've seen yellows for similar, but the directives are really clamping down on any contact to the head.

Cockerill will have some choice words about it no doubt but the ref said it himself, he had no option but to give the red.

    Very good performance by Leinster.

    Final score 31-7.

Some good performances from Dev, Lowe, Healy, Van der Flier, McGrath and Mick Kearney!

Agree with the above comments on MK. He has looked very solid this season. Could definitely be considered our fourth choice now ahead of Molony. Brought real bite to his game and looked a bit more polished than previous seasons.

That's our best performance of the season. Defence held strong against a physical Edinburgh side. Our line running, handling skills and scrummaging was excellent. Still stuff to work on as Edinburgh enjoyed a lot of possession and really could've scored more. Some dropped passes as well.

Overall have to be pleased with our defence held out and how our attack is shaping up. There's 3 or 4 options for every move and the decoy runners are doing an excellent job of masking the attack.
