    Straight to media conspiracy :pac:

    thejournal dot ie/presidential-candidates-direct-provision-4291272-Oct2018/

Article dated Oct 21st in which Casey responds to the question "Should people who have been living in Direct Provision for five years or more be given a blanket amnesty?"

Looks odds-on a pathetic attempt by Jenny to boost her profile.

No, I'm just having fun watching muddle Ireland having one of it's periodic rants that will, like all the rest of them, 'peter' out.

Credit where it's due, that was a good line.

So Tubridy is nice to the globalist, open borders hack who wants everyone vegan and who has never worked in her life; a complete intellectual charlatan for a group of people that don't have Irish interests in mind, yet he tries to play the tough lad on Casey?

Casey came out of that mess well.

He's doing what Trump does in relation to media:

1: Say something true or what is seen to be true in a hilarious way.
2: Get the left/the media to freak the fùck out over it.
3: Hold your position, let them make an arse of themselves, and let people see how much of a freak these people are.
4: More people come over to your position/agree with you.

    Case in point:

    https://twitter.com/Donal_OKeeffe/status/1058505518854094848

He will gain in popularity after this and if he follows the above pattern, he'll do even better.

He actually hasn't said all that much contraversial

If you have any job that has economic value, then its a proper job.

Public sector jobs (guards, health, STEM lecturers and a couple of others being pretty much the exception) are for the most part sponger jobs.

Mary Robinson has spent her whole life working in NGO, bullshìt jobs where she has been able to talk a bunch of shìte while the taxpayer has to splash out for it.

    Hate is bad! Equality good!

Wow she's a genius! Let's give her a six figure salary!

Why would I listen to her? Robinson lives in a bubble.

People on this forum like to go about scroungers on the dole. These people are a magnitude worse, far far worse than that "scrounger" on the dole.

I'd be saying the same if she was right wing btw.

Edit: I think Donal O Keefe deleted his tweet. I didn't archive it but the tweet had him saying "fùck off back to America Casey you divisive prick".

    O Keefe is a journalist for thejournal.ie.

But most (here at least obviously not the actual majority of Irish people) seem to think he is deserving of a political job despite his lack of any ability for the job.

What ability do any of them have..

At least he’s lived and created his own wealth..

He’s has a proven track record at something..

Enda Kenny got a cushy ride on the back of his fathers death and has hid out his working life in the Dail with complete mediocrity.

What ability has Simon got to run a health service ? None. He’s only out of short trousers. Like Enda he has no real life experience.

Pascal is another complete lightweight with no relevant experience to run the dept of finance but there he is giving away all our hard earned cash to the likes of Margaret and her traveling buddies.. I’ve dealt with him and I wouldn’t leave him in charge of my dog..

I think it’s one of the main problems we have with Irish politics. A bunch of amateurs playing with our lives yet they have no experience or credentials to do so.

You know when posters start talking about globalist open borders do good that they are actually just trolling.

It's this type of guff that ignores the fact that we live in a global economy. Our island relies on global trade we are brimmed with foreign direct investment. Most people here rely on that for work or work in an industry that services it or sells into it.

Many of you lads would prefer we all lived in a gulag shoveling bales of hay in a collective.

You haven't a breeze what globalist means it's a throwaway term. The same people using it are out there giving out about the EU without which we wouldn't have our motorways or enjoyed an ounce of the growth this country has had over the last 30 years.

You'd have us living in a backwater. Your devisive comments are as transparent as the solutions you offer for the gripes you come up with.

It's all just anger , misdirected and lacking substance.

Tell us all it real terms how you are surpressed ? Give us some evidence

Which is why I'd question his suitability to ambassador our country.

Which was the job he was applying for.

People supported him because he gave them a voice. Also, the majority of them didn't expect him to win.

And how high were the stakes anyway when the alternative was a lying socialist hypocrite who has fawned over Cuba, hosted Ortega at his residence in Galway and spent most of his political life criticising America.

Do you have similar concerns over Michael D's suitability?

He was the most suited out of the crop of people applying.

    That is my opinion.

Casey gave no one a voice they don't already have. These same people are not bothered voting for new parties . So they aren't too bothered about their voice. Protest vote with zero results.

Get off their arse and start campaigning to councillors and TDs if they want change.

Or dish out pointless protest votes when they get activated at a perceived bogey man.

Look at the protest vote in the UK millions voting for themselves to be put out of work.again a perceived bogey man. The EU

The United Nations document. They're trying to centralize and make migration a human right. Link to the document:

    https://refugeesmigrants.un.org/sites/default/files/180713_agreed_outcome_global_compact_for_migration.pdf

International cooperation: The Global Compact is a non-legally binding cooperative framework that recognizes that no State can address migration on its own due to the inherently transnational nature of the phenomenon. It requires international, regional and bilateral cooperation and dialogue. Its authority rests on its consensual nature, credibility, collective
ownership, joint implementation, follow-up and review.

National sovereignty: The Global Compact reaffirms the sovereign right of States to determine their national migration policy and their prerogative to govern migration within their jurisdiction, in conformity with international law. Within their sovereign jurisdiction, States may distinguish between regular and irregular migration status, including as they determine their legislative and policy measures for the implementation of the Global Compact, taking into account different national realities, policies, priorities and requirements for entry, residence and work, in accordance with international law.

People like Mary Robinson are moving towards centralizing the movement of people across different countries. So when I say, open borders and globalism, that is completely true.

I think everyone agrees that Casey himself isn't an impressive political candidate and that the protest vote for him wasn't going to unseat Michael D. He was a shoe-in and was always going to be. What he has done, though, is put a crack in the wall of consensus around the travelling community. That they're all grand lads and lassies, nothing to see here, move along. Last night's Late Late was yet another attempt to shut down the dissenting voices.

I hope this isn't going to go away because the existing policies in this country have given us the travelling community as they are today. People who operate outside the law and face no consequences for their actions.

Yeah he really isn’t very articulate.

If there was someone who was able to convey his opinions properly they would do well.

But I still admire what he said and for standing by his opinion.

How much more articulate do you need to be?

There is nothing beyond stating the 'soundbytes' since Casey started. He falls apart when questioned on his opinions.
    Evidenced again last night.

I am still laughing at the 'Phoenix Park' interlude and the idea that a mouthful like that could be defended or expanded on. Pure hate based rethoric designed to rabble rouse. And again, it has been successful to a degree, but I reckon there are a lot of IQ's considering their positions at the moment across the country. :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,653 ✭✭✭✭Plumbthedepths

I see the 'hate' nonsense is still being trotted out. I wonder will any examples of this hate speech be provided? Although Casey was referred to repeatedly as a racist yet none could back up this claim.

Good enough point, people are considering their position, that's the good thing about his views.
The sly dig regarding the IQ is a bit low though.
Given where your own political support lies, or at least your defence of everything SF, its a bit like the kettle trying to paint the pot black perhaps?

Now even the Irish times saying how we have gone to the left. Leo the leftist liar. If a party like renua can get 15-20% of vote, it would throw a hand grenade into Irish politics ...

The indefensible Phoenix Park remarks are an example. Why else would you demean a community like that? Can YOU explain it?

When you make a generalised point like his whole point around this issue and you cannot publicly defend them (and he has not been able to do it on a number of occasions) then it is safe to say they are based in a general hate of that community.

“You'd have us living in a backwater. Your devisive comments are as transparent as the solutions you offer for the gripes you come up with.” We live in a backwater. Boil motives, raw sewage discharged into the sea, joke infrastructure , housing crisis. A justice system that can’t lock anyone up! Lol! All areas that needed / need more investment, we do however have one world class area, the welfare spend.

Fair play to Casey for calling it as it is. But you need someone in there very articulate and with some nous, if this whole rotten to the core state , is to be taken to task ...
