    The last few times I was driving in the UK, in the midlands and Manchester / Liverpool areas, all the roads seemed to be roadworks with reduced speeds (with very little actual roadworks seemingly going on). What a mess. If brexit goes ahead, they'll probably be like that for decades to come :eek:

    Eek, just drove Dublin to Galway, almost all motorway at 120 Kmph, got 20kWh per 100kms, so an range of 140kms!!

    It was very windy and 9 degrees.

    Crazy to see the range drop so fast. The GOM said 185 range, drove 120kms and have 16 Kms left in the tank!! First time getting range anxiety!

    Against the prevailing wind. Even if there was just 30km/h head wind, you were effectively driving at 150km/h!

    Yeah, sorry, should have said, did one rapid charge each way at the Applegreens on the M1 on the run up and down to the north. I wasn't gonna cut it that fine!!

    I'll try that trip in the summer at 110kmph and would hopefully make it without stopping!

    it's very dependent on driving style history....I'm majority mororway driving and this time of year GOM is 165 - 169km @ 100% charge

    I drive standard Mayo primary roads. GOM is usually around the 190 mark on a full charge. Was over 200 the day I pciked it up from the dealer, not seen that since. There's plenty of days where my consumption would get me 200+ on the roads I'm on but weather seems a big factor. Commute round trip of 60km used 23% battery yesterday, today it was 36%.

    Crap weather in the morning today was the main factor I think (drove a bit harder than usual on the way home today too).

    Interesting conversation with a Hyundai dealer yesterday. Chatting about a 191 Ioniq, and was told "that's the last one in the country", though i've heard that line before. 30k was the price "this weekend only", but I asked about 2nd hand Ioniqs and what they were selling for. Was told they sold 2017 ones for around 22k earlier this year. Seems much cheaper than donedeal or other reports suggest.


    Other than the grill, and the gearstick, is there visually any difference between the PHEV and EV Ioniq? Boot size/depth, trim accents etc?

    What colour are they quoting you for? 30,995 is the standard price before any trade in or scrappage unless you're getting a white one which should be a little less again.

    (just going by my own experience of buying, I'm sure others got slightly different figures)

    Standard white @30k. If I can find a dealer doing the scrappage with car supplied, I'd buy new. Otherwise it's ~24k I'd be willing/able to put towards a 2nd hand one.
