That "driving for work" ad (more of a public message film, but anyway). The acting is truly dreadful in it. They are all worthwhile messages, but the RSA seem to have cornered the market in awful commercials.

It's one of those adverts where if you got actual people to talk about real experiences, rather than actors with 'based on' experiences-it could be far more effective.

    It doesn't work with actors.

I haven't seen one single Christmas ad that doesn't make me want to scream "WILL YOU F*CK OFF YOU GREEDY DISINGENUOUS PR*CKS".

Alas, the RSA consider the messages far more important than anything else.

Not so with the Think! campaign in Britain. The messages are still very important, of course, but the acting isn't as hammy - and there's even a bit of humour:

It is probably not accurate to say i despise this, but every time i see it i feel like crying laughing.

It's not as bad or pretentious as the Dior ones with Charlize Theron.

Oh no... just remembered the one with Kristen Stewart... The cringe... I can't take it!

I know the Charlize Theron ad.. Sweet Christ. Walking on water "je t'aime" :pac:
I googled it when i saw it, and found out that it was her. That is another that is terrible.

Thankfully i do not know the Kristen Stewart advert. I do not know who she is either.

In fairness pretty much all perfume / aftershave adverts are totally ridiculous. Check out Andrew Falkous on the Gerard Butler Boss ad here.

That f**king travel ad with your wan singing "ain't no body". Never have I felt the urge to punch a woman until I heard that ad.

    Those TUI adverts...

Just the TUI name does it for me. It's just so...sh!te. To think some marketing consultancy was probably paid a fortune to come up with it...

It did, i read an article a week or so back talking about sky sponsorship and the making of the advert etc. They are very proud of it.

The ad with the cute girl who can’t dance? Shame they didn’t put the actress from The Inbetweeners movie who had the memorable line “Kitty’s got her cream” in instead. Bit more realistic about sun holidays.

This perfume ad cracks me up, see to myself indeed Cate Blanchette

The RSA seem to have a bottomless pit of money for advertising. Their ads are on every ten minutes on every channel. They just become annoying with their frequency!

The Credit Union ad with the girl at the dentist— Jesus Christ! The sliding in is bad, then the voice, and then the deadlights...?

    I won't sleep tonight.

I just wish it wasn't on TV and radio every two minutes. It probably rivals the old Harvey Norman ads in turning people away.

The An Post Address Pal advert with the kid opening her Christmas present.
"Oh Yeah, Oh Yeah, Oh YEAH, OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH"

    I think that's quite funny.

Is it just me or is every ad at the moment accompanied by a piano?

    Carlsberg
All the big store christmas ads(Aldi, M&S)
    Several of the car ads.

Is piano the new advert fashion?

It's not cute, it's not funny, it's highly irritating and.it has **** all to do with Christmas. Fail on every count

Any ad that irritates me causes the reaction of avoiding the advertised product like the plague. See TUI.
